This engraving is from Edina Delineata a series of images showing the buildings of Edinburgh, published in 1789 and issued in four instalments. This view of Heriot’s Hospital was part of the third group of images to be issued, alongside views of High Street from the Tron Church, the New Bridewell and the Ruins of Holyrood Chapel. The building is today George Heriot’s School.
