Space - Order

About this artwork

Space-Order is an example of the artist’s ‘Fieldworks.’ They document a repeated action taking place outdoors, using both natural and manufactured materials. These photographs record five attempts to throw a rock attached to rope into the air. Each throw results in a different shape, creating a sequence of line drawings in space. This simple act contains the possibility of infinite variation. Ideas of change and variation are key concepts within Suga’s wider artistic practice.
