As Others See Us marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns and is part of the National Celebratory year of Homecoming Scotland 2009. This photographic exhibition features some of today's most noteworthy Scots as they reflect on the significance of Scotland's most famous poet.
Tricia Malley and Ross Gillespie's contemporary portraiture draws attention to the diverse and highly personal responses that Burns' poetry continues to elicit. With subjects from differing backgrounds and professions, including actors, writers and politicians, As Others See Us offers a celebration of contemporary Scottish culture and reflects on the continuing relevance of Burns in modern Scotland.
