Welcome
The National Gallery Complex is Scotland’s second most-visited attraction, after Edinburgh Castle. It is made up of three interconnected buildings: the National Gallery of Scotland – home to a major part of Scotland’s sensational national collection of fine art; the Weston Link – with modern, friendly eating, drinking and shopping facilities; and the Royal Scottish Academy Building (RSA) – Scotland’s premier venue for international exhibitions.
Opening Hours
Open daily, 10am-5pm.
Extended hours during the Edinburgh Festival, 4 August to 1 September: 10am-6pm daily. Late night opening every Thursday until 7pm.
Last entry to the show is 30 minutes before closing time.
Access
There is wheelchair access to all areas of the Gallery. There is also a specially adapted toilet and lift. Disabled access is at the rear of the RSA building, from where there is a lift to the Upper Galleries of the RSA. Call 0131 624 6200 or email info@nationalgalleries.org if you need further details.

The Royal Scottish Academy Building is on the Mound, right in the heart of Edinburgh, on Princes Street. Select here for a map.
By Bus
All City Centre/Princes Street buses pass the Royal Scottish Academy Building.
By Train
The National Gallery Complex is a few minutes’ walk from Waverley Station. Take the Waverley Bridge exit, and walk the short distance through Princes Street Gardens to get to the exhibition entrance.
By Car
Follow routes for City Centre and City Centre Attractions. There is no car park at the gallery, and very limited on-street parking near the venue. We recommend you park your car in one of the many City Centre car parks instead.
