Ruskin knew Turner during the last  decade of his life, and was able to acquire some of the greatest works produced in this final flourish of the artist's career.  Ian Warrell, art historian, explores his passionate defence of the great landscape painter, as well as charting how Ruskin's enthusiasm was changed by the discoveries he made following Turner's death.
