Phill Jupitus: Sketch Comic Lectures

  • Thursday, 7th August 2014, 6.30-7.30pm
  • Free

Hawthornden Lecture Theatre - Gardens Entrance (Scottish National Gallery)

The National Galleries of Scotland will be letting legendary stand-up, punk poet and roving sketchsmith Phill Jupitus loose in its rooms for three weeks. Each weekday morning, and armed with his trusty iPad loaded with Paper, Phill will sketch a favourite of his from the Gallery Collection, encourage you to come watch, join in, and share your own sketches. Each week Phill and fellow stand-up and art lover Hannah Gadsby will also present a free talk about the works they’ve seen that week and the work that Phill has created and any works shared by the public. Expect an enjoyable, if personal look at art with the ocassional surprise guest to boot. Part of the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

No booking required: free, unticketed.
