Portrait Gallery (Scottish National Portrait Gallery)

The National Galleries of Scotland will be letting legendary stand-up, punk poet and roving sketchsmith Phill Jupitus loose in its rooms for three weeks. Each weekday morning, and armed with his trusty iPad loaded with Paper, Phill will sketch a favourite of his from the Gallery Collection, encourage you to come watch, join in, and share your own sketches. He will be at a different gallery every week, starting at the Scottish National Gallery on 4-10 August, then at the Portrait Gallery 11-17 August, and the Gallery of Modern Art on 18-24 August. Phill and fellow stand-up and art lover Hannah Gadsby will also present a free talk every Thursday evening about the works they’ve seen that week. Part of the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

No booking required: free, unticketed.
