This course led by Dr Jonathan Blackwood, art historian and curator, takes JD Fergusson's life and work as its main focal point, but seeks to place him in the context of European modernism, and political developments in Scotland in the first part of the 20th century. Lectures include: The Life and Work of JD Fergusson; Between Scotland and France: JD Fergusson's Visual Identity and Modern Scottish Painting: Fergusson and Art History.
