Shopping
The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art complex has two shops, one based on the ground floor of the Dean Gallery and the other based on the ground floor of the Gallery of Modern Art.

Both specialise in books and contemporary gifts.

The Gallery Café, Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art
A firm local favourite, this self-service café offers a wide range of soups, tasty main meals, baked potatoes, salads, stuffed croissants and baguettes, all made fresh on the premises every day. In fair weather, the café opens out onto a large sun terrace and garden – one of the best alfresco dining experiences in Edinburgh.

Open daily from 10am.

Café Newton, Dean Gallery
The more intimate Café Newton offers table service and a daily changing lunch menu which includes soups and light main meals, all cooked on the premises, as well as antipasti platters and filled focaccias and baguettes.
