Situated in the very heart of Edinburgh, the Scottish National Gallery is one of the most prestigious venues for events. This central site comprises two grand classical buildings; the Scottish National Gallery, which houses Scotland’s greatest collection of art, and the Royal Scottish Academy, which mounts international blockbuster exhibitions.

Scottish National Gallery
This splendid gallery venue is available for dinners, receptions and exclusive private views. Guests can enjoy champagne, cocktails and canapés in wonderful surroundings, plus an exclusive private view of the Gallery’s treasured art collection in the company of an expert curator.
Alternatively dine amidst some the world’s most outstanding works of art, from Rembrandt and Raphael to Vermeer and Velazquez. Dinners can be seated on round tables for up to 250 or for the real wow factor on one long table seating up to 160. For smaller more intimate dining, the beautiful Impressionist Rooms are also available.

Royal Scottish Academy Building
Situated right next door to the National Gallery, this world class venue hosts the Galleries’ esteemed changing programme of blockbuster exhibitions. These international exhibitions bring together artworks from all over the world in one venue, and have included shows such as Impressionist Gardens, Monet, Degas, Andy Warhol and Ron Mueck; a perfect venue for exclusive private view events.
Enjoy a cocktail reception for up to 300 guests before viewing one of these unique exhibitions. Or for smaller corporate hospitality options, invite a handful of your top clients to a special evening tour with our art curator and hear some of the amazing stories behind the art.

Hawthornden Lecture Theatre
This stylish conference space is located in the heart of the Scottish National Gallery site and has comfortable tiered seating for up to 200, full AV support onsite and is only 5 minutes walk from the train station. It can be used for a variety of events, such as film screenings, seminars or award ceremonies.
Delegate registration and pre- or post-refreshments can take place in the bright and spacious concourse or the Scottish Café and Restaurant with its breathtaking views over East Princes Street Gardens. This unique conference venue is a smart professional space in a culturally inspiring setting.
