Opening Hours

We are open daily from 10am to 5pm (7pm on Thursdays).

Come face to face with Scotland, past and present, at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. See 17 exhibitions and some exceptional must sees. There are also 14 events to attend.

Admission is free. A charge may be made for special exhibitions.

Please note that the lift is currently being repaired, so access to the upper floors is only possible by the stairs. We apologise for the inconvenience, and are urgently working to get the lift operating again.
