Sleepover under the stars…
Treat your family to a once-in-a-lifetime sleepover experience at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery!
What is a gallery sleepover?
Gallery sleepovers are unique overnight events for children and their families. Evening activities include exciting hands-on art workshops, gallery-based adventures like treasure hunts, and bedtime storytelling. After all the excitement, campers will settle down for the night in our beautiful Great Hall under our magnificent Ceiling of Stars – a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Tickets include a tasty ‘midnight’ snack and a reviving hot breakfast.
Who can attend?
Sleepovers are for a family audience. They are suitable for children aged 7-11 years and accompanying adults (persons over the age of 18). There should be a maximum of 6 children for every adult. There is no minimum group size, but we recommend that the number of adults does not outweigh the number of children.
Children with additional support needs are welcome. Please let us know when you book how we can help your group get the most out of the sleepover experience.
There will be 40 family campers in total.
When are the sleepovers?
We are currently taking bookings for:
- Saturday 12 April 2014
How much does it cost?
The cost of a sleepover is £35 per person (adults and children - no concessions).
Charging for sleepovers allows us to cover their costs and supports a programme for after-school clubs at the Portrait Gallery.
