Ecas is a charity established in Edinburgh in 1902 to improve the lives of people with disabilities. It currently has four main spheres of activity:
- Giving grants for specific purposes to disabled people who live in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
- Running classes for disabled people in Edinburgh.
- Managing an innovative befriending project using both disabled and non-disabled volunteers to visit isolated people with physical disabilities.
- Raising awareness of, and campaigning about, disability equality issues.
