This groundbreaking documentary charts the progress of the National Galleries of Scotland’s Parallel Lives 2 Outreach project. We asked 3 communities in Edinburgh to respond to 3 visionary works of art from the National Galleries’ collection and then to produce 3 visions of a better world. The film follows the course of this project from the interpretation of the NGS works of art by the participants, through to the installation of their final creative responses. It includes forthright views from participants and artists, and footage from the project workshops to present a fast moving record of the collective imagination at work.
