Congratulations to all the winners in this year’s National Galleries of Scotland Art Competition for Schools 2010 sponsored by Scottish Widows.
5,303 entries were received from Scottish nursery, primary, secondary and special education schools with hundreds of robots, pet animals and fantastical architectural creations for the judges to enjoy.
Entries arrived from tiny schools with only 15 pupils and from far away places such as North Uist and Orkney making it a truly national competition.
Come and see the 53 wonderful winning works on show in the IT Gallery at the National Gallery of Scotland 10 June – 21 October 2010. The show will tour to other venues in Scotland so watch this space for details.
A beautiful calendar featuring the work of the top three winners in each category will be sent free to every school in Scotland. It will also be available for sale at all the gallery shops.
