National Galleries of Scotland Art Competition for Schools 2007
Sponsored by Scottish Widows
In this, the fourth year of the competition, we received over 2,600 entries from across Scotland. A different theme is set for the first five categories and three works of art from the National Galleries of Scotland’s collections are selected to provide a stimulus and to promote discussion.
Entries are judged on:
- Originality and creativity
- Confident handling of materials
- Boldness and impact
Prizes are awarded to individuals, the winning pupil’s entire class and their school.
Why not enter next year?
Teachers can access details about the forthcoming year’s competition from December onwards from the Competitions section of our website.
The closing date is in May.
