Community Groups
What sorts of community groups work with us?
Access Groups
Formalised groups or organisations, often with charitable status, which consist of, or work with, people who require additional support in order to visit and access National Galleries of Scotland. These groups visit for learning, therapeutic and social reasons. They often include people who are hard to reach, people who are isolated in society, people who feel excluded and people who cannot visit on their own for a variety of reasons.
Examples of Access Groups: Artlink, Ecas, Health in Mind, Stepping Stones, Shakti Women’s Aid, The Vintage Group, The Outlook Project, Chinese Elderly Group, groups from care homes etc

How can my group get involved?
From the descriptions above identify the category of your group and then contact the relevant person in the Education Department. Charges apply to some categories of groups in order to cover costs. Booked groups get reduced entry to charging exhibitions. If you would like to be informed about future exhibitions and events, we can add your group or organisation to our database. We look forward to seeing you!
