Millar is a multi-award winning comic book writer from Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire. As a teenager Millar was inspired after meeting the renowned comic book writer, Alan Moore. However, it was not until he suffered financial problems whilst at university following his parents? deaths that he decided to make a career out of writing. Since then Millar has written some of the most iconic comic stories of recent years, including `Ultimate Fantastic Four?, `Wanted? and `Kick-Ass?. The latter two have been made into successful films and there are others waiting to be produced. This photograph shows Millar in a cinema with the light from the projector illuminating a shadowy figure in the background ? perhaps a reference to Millar?s increasing involvement in producing his work as films.
