National Galleries of Scotland

Born in Edinburgh, Lucy Ireland studied Modern Ballet at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In her final year she undertook a Company Place at Scottish Ballet during their run of Ashley Page?s `Sleeping Beauty?. Since her graduation in 2012 she has worked with The Michael Clark Company as a Dance Leader for The Barrowland?s Project, a dance event intended to mark the change in focus from London 2012 to Glasgow 2014. Ireland was the recipient of the 2012-3 Dancer?s Emerging Bursary Scheme. Most recently Ireland has been working on the feature film, `Sunshine on Leith?, which is a film adaptation of the hit musical based on the songs of The Proclaimers.
