Work on the Jencks Landform construction, Scottish National Modern One, Edinburgh 2001
  • Scottish Art
In 2001 Jeremy Sutton-Hibbert executed a series of photographs on behalf of the National Galleries of Scotland which document the diverse activities of the 250 members of staff. Here we witness some of the finishing touches being put on the landform that graces the front of the Scottish National Modern One. We normally associate galleries with clean bright spaces where no amount of mess is tolerated, here the message definitely is: we've had to get our hands dirty on this project.
