This work is part of a series of rectangular aluminium plates which are exhibited at right angles to the wall, jutting into the display space. Each panel has been screen-printed several times, building up a layered effect. Here, contrasting to the predominantly black expanse, an orange and yellow marbled surface forms the word ‘Askit’ over which ‘Words’ has been printed. The viewer is left to try and interpret the layered image. In utilising the word ‘Askit’, Myles is referring to the common brand of painkillers.
