Two years later he immigrated to Britain and spent the next fifteen years designing main stage productions for the Questors National Amateur Theatre in Ealing, London. In 2003 Askew decided to move to Scotland and pursue his artistic practice, setting up a glass studio and returning to photography. His move north also allowed Askew to rekindle his passion for curling. He is a gold medal winning performance development coach for the Royal Caledonian Curling Club, working with Scotland’s elite international curlers.
