Gallery of Modern Art at 50
The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art was the first Gallery in Britain dedicated to collecting modern and contemporary art for the nation. Now more than 50 years on from this pioneering beginning, the Gallery still strives to build on its international reputation through its collection and creative programming.
Throughout 2010 the Gallery underwent a series of re-hangs under the title What you see is where you're at to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Displays changed regularly to reveal the richness and range of the collection in a series of rooms aiming to delight and surprise.
