Artists are organised by their most commonly-used names. This is usually but not always their surname e.g. Leonardo da Vinci is under L, Van Gogh is under V and Raphael is under R.
Charles Harvey Weigall (English, 1794 - 1877)
Weigall was an illustrator and a painter of landscapes, genre scenes and portraits. He was treasurer of the NWS (1839-41). He published the following manuals: `The Art of Figure Drawing? (1852), `A Manual for the First Principles of Drawing, with Rudiments of Perspective? (1853), `The Projection of Shadows? (1856), and a `Guide to Animal Drawing? (1862). Weigall also contributed illustrations to the `Illustrated London News? and modelled in wax and made intaglio gems.
