Artists are organised by their most commonly-used names. This is usually but not always their surname e.g. Leonardo da Vinci is under L, Van Gogh is under V and Raphael is under R.
Georgina Starr (English, born 1968)
Starr was born in Leeds and lives in London. She works with a very broad range of materials and techniques, including video, performance, comic-strips, fashion, story boards and even musicals. One series of works concerned a parallel universe full of doppelgängers, including Starr herself. She uses incidents from her past and present, mixing fact, fantasy and fiction. Her works often originate from a chance event or a half-recalled memory. The trivial and the mundane are highlighted as keys to our memories and emotions.
