The work of one of the world’s most celebrated contemporary artists is to be shown at the Pier Arts Centre in Stromness for the first time. Bill Viola has been creating emblematic installations in video and sound for over 35 years.
Curated by the Pier Arts Centre, the exhibition will feature video works from the artist’s Passions series created between 2000 and 2002.
The two works in ARTIST ROOMS, Four Hands and Catherine’s Room , will be complemented by Surrender from the collection of the National Galleries of Scotland and Ascension on loan from the artist’s studio.
