Throughout his career Warhol produced numerous films, many of which were experimental and pushed the boundaries of what was considered acceptable in cinema. They included screen tests, silent movies and full-length feature films. In 1984 he donated all his original films to The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) for cataloguing in conjunction with the Whitney Museum?s Andy Warhol Film Project. This poster is for the exhibition showcasing Warhol?s extensive film work at the Centre for Contemporary Art in Prato, Italy, in 1990. With the collaboration of MoMA, this exhibition is almost certainly derived from their own significant 1988 exhibition of Warhol?s films.
