Search Tip
Artists are organised by their most commonly-used names. This is usually but not always their surname e.g. Leonardo da Vinci is under L, Van Gogh is under V and Raphael is under R.
Pieter Roestraeten (Dutch, about 1631 - 1700)
Roestraeten specialised in the painting of still life. He was apprenticed to Frans Hals in Haarlem for five years and became his son-in-law in 1654. He and his wife moved to London sometime after May 1663.
