While much of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery collection will be going in to storage for the duration of the project, you will still be able to see many of the works.

Some of your favourite portraits have been selected to hang in the National Gallery of Scotland amid their historic collection which is housed on the Mound in the centre of Edinburgh.

A range of contemporary portraits will be on display in the Vulcan Room at the Dean Gallery at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art site on Belford Road, Edinburgh.

A different work of art from the Portrait Gallery collection will be featured on nationalgalleries.org each month.

Many of the works from the Portrait Gallery collection will also continue to be available to look at and read about through the Online Collection.
